Pit basic tutorial : B-reverse for Pits

Here is a quick review of the smash 4 tech "B-reversing" for Pit . Which is a basic yet important technic Pits mains need to know.

What is B-reverse ? You can watch MySmashCorner's video which explains Wave Bounce and B-reverse.
It is extremly complete so I will just give a TL;DR, but you should definitly bookmark it for later.

B-reverse is simply throwing a special move and make the character turn around during the start up animation.

B-reverse up B
B-reversing up B is incredibly important to know and use as a Pit player.
In the latest frames of the upB, Pit will auto snap the ledge only if he is facing the ledge. If he is not, he is going to fly above the stage and will be extremly vulnerable while he falls back down to the ledge.
This is where b reversing comes into play : no matter what direction Pit is looking at when you upB, you will turn him so he is facing the ledge when recovering.
Example :

To perform B-reverse upB I recommend to tilt the stick up, then press B, then immediatly tilt the joystick diagonally up-left/right (depeding on your position).
You will need training to master it, because you must execute very quickly, you might sideB instead of upB or send Pit flying into weir directions. But don't worry, once you mastered it, it will become second nature.

Another possiblilty given by GMAN : "I've done input up-left/right(depending on position), then rotate the stick immediately going downward 360 until it ends up UP, then you input b (as in up-b)".
I've tested it and it also works. This technic also require training to input consistently.

Choose the methode you like the most.

Note : no matter what direction Pit is looking, he won't auto-snap during the earliest frames of the upB. Don't upB too high from the ledge folks !

B reverse side B
When Pit sideBs, he will make a very short jump backward then dash. If you B-reverse side B, the start up bounce will go forward instead of backward. So B reversing side B will increase the range of side B, but it will also increase the blind spot. B reverse when the ennemy is far from Pit, but don't reverse it if he is right next to you.
You can see the difference between sideB and Breverse sideB in the video below.

To perform B-reverse sideB that is easier than B-reverse upB : sideB in the opposite direction you want to go and immediatly flick the stick backward. With training you will quickly get the hand on it.

That's it for Pit's basic tutorial, B-reverse. I hope you leaned from it, if you have anything to say, make sure to leave a comment.
I want to thank HardcordYork for his help on the article.
